| The charming coastal village of Kymi on the island
of Evia is one of extreme beauty, and an ideal place in which to
enjoy relaxing and interesting holidays on this wonderful Greek
Island. Located on the north east of Evia, Kymi has some wonderful
beaches where you can enjoy the clear blue waters of the Aegean
Sea. |

Kymi is also home to a very charming and
colourful port, which serves for boats arriving from and departing
to the nearby island of Skyros. The port here in Kymi is perfect
for enjoying a peaceful stroll along the coast.
As well as nice beaches close by which are ideal for the summer
months, there are also several other interesting places that visitors
here can enjoy.
The "Folklore Museum" of Kymi is one of the best regional
museums of its kind in Greece, and is well worth visiting should
you have the chance. The museum exhibits a wonderful selection of
items including paintings, stone carvings, embroidery and local
costumes. |
Kymi is a very traditional village, and one that has
maintained it's unique look and appearance throughout the years.
The building of the "Basinas Restaurant", built in the
last century, is a traditional stone building that was originally
used for storage of spaghetti that was produced locally. Afterwards,
it was used a storage building for local wines that were exported
to France.
Visitors to our restaurant will immediately see that the restaurant
is a very unique and unusual one, in terms of structure, and with
careful decoration, we have transformed it into a very beautiful
and interesting place in which one can enjoy a wonderful selection
of cuisine. |
Kymi, like most other parts of Evia, is one that visitors will
truly enjoy and appreciate. It is a very peaceful and relaxing part
of the island, and a place that is perfect for visiting, throughout
the year. The locals are very friendly, and are always offering
their most sincere hospitality.
We hope that we can play a small role in your holidays here in Kymi,
and look forward to welcoming you here in person very soon. |
